Mercury Cazimi and the Will of the People

Happy Mercury Cazimi!

Today, Mercury retrograde met the heart of the sun at 9:24 AM EST, at 12 degrees Scorpio.

Mercury Cazimi has been described by astrologer Zamboni Funk as "A special message from the King" - the messenger planet meeting the planet of Solar figures, disappearing from view for a moment and then returning with new insight. Mercury rules intelligence, technology, communications and commerce, and he's primed to deliver us a powerful message today about rulers, leaders and the difference between.

The Sabian symbol of 12 degrees Scorpio is "An Embassy Ball." An evocative image of the "elite" celebrations occurring across our nation, as Democratic politicians celebrate their many victories. However, are We the People invited to this ball?

I'm going to quote a post I saw on IG this morning, created by a collaboration of 6 creators I'll list below it, that I think does an excellent job of conveying the kind of message I am personally receiving from Mercury:

"If leftists want a revolution, why don't they stop talking about it and do it, already?

The short of it is: A "leftist" revolution is a revolution for the people and, as such, cannot happen without the people.

If the majority of people choose to submit to capitalist hive mind and ignore their governments' imperialism, a leftist is limited in what they can do...

In the US there are a very small population of people who are generally identified as "leftist."

This small percent of the population cannot possibly compensate for the harm done by the masses intentional upholding of the current system.

And unless you're asking for leftists to perform a hostile takeover and force our beliefs on the masses, we're left with no option but to remain available to talk and share resources in the hopes that people eventually learn and organize with us.

We can organize/attend demonstrations; develop/support mutual aid systems; host/take classes; even vote; and most active leftists do ALL of those things.

We still can't actually substantially change the system without the backing of the people.

We keep telling you guys "the people have the power..."

So keep that in mind the next time you're wondering why leftists don't just shut up and do the revolution: we don't really have the power of the people.

But the power of the people still exists, so we've gotta ask ourselves: Where is the power of the people going?

Who are the representatives of world power right now? How have they been harvesting the people's power to get their status?

Doom scrolling. Consumerism. Propaganda. Social norms. Fear mongering.

Burn out. Confusion. Poor health. Misinformation. Bread and Circuses.

Where is the people's power, and who's been covertly harvesting it?

How can we reclaim the people's power and use it to support liberation from exploitation and destructive capitalism?

Leftists can't do shit if you don't let us unplug you."
